Patricia, your host, will make you discover her city rich in cultural and natural curiosities while offering you lessons adapted to your profile and your needs.

Living in an apartment in the heart of the city center, she will share her daily life with you by offering you an independent double bedroom with shared bathroom. You will have the opportunity to discover the specialties of the region and the many cultural events in the city.

YOUR HOME STAY FRENCH IMMERSION IN ANNECY

When you will come to my place, in Annecy, you will have the opportunity to be in total immersion with a daily practice of French. I will be able to help you and correct you to allow you to progress more quickly. Immersion means sharing, sharing meals, sharing activities, chatting, with the aim of making you think in French and find your words more easily.

I love to cook and bake, I would be delighted to be able to make you taste local but also national specialties of course. If you ‘d like to cook a specialty or to make a pastry such as a croissant or pain au chocolat, you are welcome! Of course, we will taste what we will cook together. If you have a special diet: vegetarian, gluten-free…I will be able to adapt without any problem.
We will also have the opportunity to go to the market together and meet local producers of cheeses, vegetables, etc. It will be a very good way to practice your French.
If you are on half board, you can very easily find places to eat close to the apartment or you can prepare your own meal on site.
I have a cat and a little dog who are very nice.

Hello, my name is Patricia and I have been a French teacher for more than 15 years now. I decided to offer language stays because I think this formula is THE most effective method for improving your French. in total immersion, you live in the French way, it will be a big chage for you. I love meeting people from other countries and getting to know other cultures, for me it’s a wonderful experience. I like to share my knowledge of French but also of the culture that I particularly like.
My apartment is located in the heart of the city center, less than 10 minutes walk from the lake, the train station and the historic center of the city. It’s the perfect location.

LEARNING FRENCH

My long experience as a French teacher first taught me to adapt to the different levels of my students but also to the different cultures that I was able to meet. I am always aware to the needs of each student and I create a tailor-made course according to your objectives. During your stay, it is always possible to change the program that will have been designed for you. My teaching approach is a communicative approach with concrete examples of daily life. During our course, you will learn everything that you do not usually learn in your French methods.

You will have your French lessons in the living room of the apartment, it is a very pleasant and bright room. We can also do the course outside: on the terrace of a café, by the lake which is right next to the apartment.

ACTIVITIES

I will be your guide to discover Annecy, nicknamed the Venice of the Alps There are so many things to do: first of all, visit the old town with its pedestrian streets that run along the Thiou: the stream that crosses the old town.

We can visit the medieval castle which overlooks Annecy, it is also a museum which offers regional objects such as alpine furniture, religious works or exhibitions on natural history.
Going down from the castle we could go to the Palais de l’Isle, it is an old prison which dates from the 12th century.

For a more “”nature”” visit, a walk by the lake, on foot, by bike or by boat is essential. Start from Pâquier, a former swamp that has become a huge grassy area bordering the lake, continue to the Jardins de l’Europe, a large garden with hundred-year-old trees, the Pont des Amours which offers a magnificent view of the lake.
Of course activities around the lake are possible: bike rides, swimming in summer, hiking on the mountainous paths around the lake, visit the Semnoz, the ski resort above Annecy, visits to castles bordering the lake: Menthon Saint Bernard, Duingt. Many activities are available to you according to your desires.
