Come and improve your French in Narbonne in an authentic Haussmann-style setting: an elegant 1883 townhouse located right in the city center, just 13 km from the sea. Marianne and Jean-Louis offer you a warm welcome in the heart of a truly historic home.

Marianne teaches French as a Foreign Language through texts, activities, and cultural visits, and also offers FOS (French for Specific Purposes) courses tailored to professional needs. A German-French consultant, she also supports German and Austrian learners online, promoting Sprachimmersion. As a DELF examiner, she shares her expertise within the Franco-German business club (RAFAL). Music lovers will also enjoy meaningful moments of artistic sharing during their stay.

Come on your own or with your family (from 1 to 5 people): accommodation includes a master suite for 2 people with a private bathroom, a second bedroom for 3 people, with the bathroom reserved for these two rooms, and a toilet located on the landing.

YOUR HOME STAY FRENCH IMMERSION IN NARBONNE

With us, language rhymes with vintage charm: you will stay in the heart of Narbonne, just steps away from the media library, the cathedral, the shops, and the train station, an ideal setting to practice French naturally in everyday life.

You will speak French while shopping, asking for information, and chatting with locals. We will talk, write, read, cook together, and discover the regional culture. Depending on your wishes, we may go to the beach, visit the covered market (Les Halles), or play pétanque or Scrabble. A personalized program can of course, be arranged upon request.

Two non-smoking bedrooms await you on the second floor (no elevator). If you are traveling alone or as a couple, you will stay in the first bedroom; for two or three guests, the second room will be prepared. The bathroom (sink and shower) is reserved for these two rooms, occupied by the same group, and the toilet is located on the landing.

Lessons take place in different areas of the house and around the city, and home-cooked meals, prepared in the French tradition, are shared in the kitchen, the dining room… or somewhere else, depending on the surprise of the day.

Welcome to my home, in the heart of Narbonne, in our family house dating back to 1883. My name is Marianne, and I have been teaching French as a Foreign Language since 2018. I am passionate about sharing languages and cultures.

I love bringing French to life in everyday moments: at the market halls, while cooking together, playing games, or chatting over a delicious meal. My greatest joy? Seeing you gain confidence and dare to speak naturally, in a warm and lively immersion experience.

LEARNING FRENCH

I have been teaching French as a Foreign Language – as well as German – since 2018 to teenagers and adults with diverse goals: academic support, travel preparation, professional French, or business exchanges. This variety has strengthened my listening skills, precision, and adaptability. I am also a DELF examiner and trained in FOS (French for Specific Purposes), which allows me to guide you with both high standards and kindness, whatever your objectives may be.

I design a fully personalized program based on real communication, vocabulary enrichment, and solid grammatical foundations. We work with texts, authentic materials, practical role-plays, and cultural activities.

Lessons take place in our elegant Haussmann-style home, in a calm and bright setting, but also around the city: at the covered market, the media library, in the streets of Narbonne, or by the sea. I enjoy varying the locations to help you learn differently, connect the language to real life, and gain confidence and fluency day after day.

ACTIVITIES

With me, you will discover Narbonne in all its authenticity: its charming streets, majestic cathedral, the Archbishop’s Palace, its museums, and the lively atmosphere of Les Halles market. We will stroll through the market, along the Canal du Midi, or head to Gruissan and the lagoons.

A game of pétanque before an aperitif? A round of Scrabble to enrich your French? A music workshop to learn the notes in French?

We will cook local recipes after visiting the market and talk about the region’s wine heritage and energy projects. Here, French is lived every day.
