Nolwenn offers French lessons in the mornings and will be delighted to show you the treasures of the Périgord Blanc, as well as other regions such as the Périgord Pourpre around Bergerac or the city of Périgueux.

Nolwenn and her family, consisting of her husband, son Eflamm (10) and sometimes daughter Camille (25), live in a house located 5 km from Périgueux. The double bedroom, which sleeps 2, offers a comfortable space with a large closet, a bookcase and a desk for working. A large French window opens directly onto a wooden terrace, providing a cozy, intimate experience.

LEARNING FRENCH

The fact that I’ve taught a lot in the bilingual section has enabled me to work mainly with differentiated teaching methods, i.e. classes are individualized according to the needs of each pupil. This method is very interesting, as it enables each student to progress at his or her own pace. This is the method I’ll be applying every morning, after we’ve had a hearty, local breakfast together!

From beginner to advanced, all levels are accepted. I give priority to oral skills, but the advantage of tailor-made lessons is that I’ll adapt completely to your needs.

Depending on the weather, we’ll work outside, in the garden or in my living room. I prefer human interaction during lessons and will give you digital tools to work on yourself in the evenings.

Activities

There are plenty of possibilities for cultural, gastronomic or sporting visits, so don’t hesitate to ask for any type of excursion! Together we can visit Les Eyzies: the famous Font de Gaume cave, the PIP (Pôle International de la Préhistoire) and the Musée National de la Préhistoire, while strolling through the magnificent village and its mysterious cliffs typical of the Périgord and its rock shelters. We can also visit the magnificent Rouffignac cave.

On the way, we can stop off at Château de Castelnaud or Les Milandes (J. Baker’s famous château). We can organize a visit to the beautiful city of Périgueux, 10 minutes from the house, for an additional €20 per person, including a visit to the brewery; its cathedral (Saint Front) is magnificent; it’s a city steeped in history. We can also visit the town of Brantôme, the green venice of Périgord, or Vésone, with its remains of a Gallo-Roman domus. On the way back, we can stop off at BAM, the local brewery, for a beer in their taproom. We can also take a gabare trip to La Roque Gageac or Beynac. If you’d like to drive a little further, we can organize a visit to a winegrower near Bergerac (allow an hour’s drive) for an extra 25€, so you can discover the purple Périgord.

Many excursions are possible, for a fee or free of charge. Tell me what you’d like to do in terms of culture or sport (in this case, a lot of kayaking, hiking and electric biking) and I’ll put together a program that’s just right for you!
