What could be better than total immersion to learn or improve your French? Hannah offers you a stay in a region with a varied heritage, close to exceptional places such as the Gulf of Morbihan, Vannes and other cities of art and history. Hannah, your host, will show you her region and its specialities while working on your French. She will offer you lessons, activities and cultural outings, adapting them to your tastes and desires. Hannah lives in a detached house in a small town near Vannes. You will have a double bedroom with private bathroom and toilet, on the ground floor of the house. You can enjoy a flowered and enclosed garden, in an environment that is both quiet and close to towns and beaches.
YOUR HOME STAY FRENCH IMMERSION IN LA TRINITE SURZUR
For me, immersion is the best way to learn a language. By sharing our daily lives, you will have the opportunity to talk in a context of friendly sharing. The course time will be devoted to theoretical contributions. These contributions can be put into practice during more playful times such as outings, activities, meal preparation, family moments… I want to share with you the French and Breton culture, and help you feel confident when you speak French.
You will be accommodated in a room with a double bed, on the ground floor of the house, with a private bathroom and a toilet reserved for you. If you are travelling with a child, you will have a bedroom upstairs, including a double bed on the mezzanine and a single bed below. You will have, as on the ground floor, a private bathroom. The toilet will be shared with my children who also use the floor. My children are 12 and 9 years old. My partner, Thibaut, also has two children, but they will not be present during your stay. We have two very cuddly cats, who live independently inside and outside the house.
I am an English teacher in primary schools and in individual lessons. Thibaut is a landscaper. We love nature, walks by the sea, discovering towns and villages, music, art. Thibaut is passionate about pyrography.
We love to receive our friends, for moments of sharing and laughter. My daughter loves to read, draw, write. She is quite creative and very sociable. My son is passionate about cars and tractors. He loves to tinker, build things.
He likes to tell and show what he has discovered. You will be welcomed with us with great pleasure. We are all looking forward to sharing our daily life and activities with you, and showing you the wonders of our region, while helping you understand and speak French.
LEARNING FRENCH
I have a good experience as a teacher for children and adults. I have built and improved a multitude of teaching materials. I always adapt my lessons to the student, his level, his tastes and his desires.
I propose to vary the lessons by using scenarios, exercises, theoretical contributions, conversation games… If you are travelling as a couple or with a child, the course will be adapted to everyone, in order to meet everyone’s expectations.
Classes will be held in my dining room. I have a whiteboard. If time permits, we can do the class outside if you wish!
Activities
La Trinité-Surzur is a village very close to Vannes. Vannes seduces with the refinement and liveliness of its old districts. Under the amused gaze of “Vannes et sa Femme”, its historic heart is an ideal place to stroll and taste the authentic charm of this city of art and history.
I will show you this city that I love very much, its market, its port and its beach. Vannes is an attractive city for its architecture and culture. There are regular cultural and artistic events that we can participate in if you are interested.
Close to the house, there are a multitude of villages and tourist sites to visit, such as Rochefort-en-Terre, the most beautiful village in France, but also the Gulf of Morbihan which holds beautiful beaches and coves, the forest of Brocéliande with its legends, the Chateau de Sussigno and many other incredible places.
We will be able to go and stroll through these different places, eat a crêpe or a Kouign Aman, the culinary specialties of Brittany. In the Gulf of Morbihan, there are many oyster farming sites with possible tastings, as well as an oyster museum. I’d love to share it with you.
