Florensac is just a few kilometers from Pezenas, a town full of history as evident in its historic center which has dwellings dating from the end of the Middle Ages, and many grand town houses from the 17th and 18th centuries.
This town, so loved by Molliere, is close to the sea and the long beaches at Cap d’Agde, Marseillan and at Sete, and also to the wonderful Mont Saint-Clair which towers above Etang de Thau with its famous oyster beds. Florensac is located between Beziers and Montpellier, two large towns rich in culture and historic buildings.

With private lessons tailored to your own needs, tourist visits and culinary tastings, Caroline will make you feel at home and help you make the most of your unforgettable homestay. Caroline will be delighted to welcome you, on your own or as two, in her lovely house with garden, swimming pool, patio and barbecue close to the sea. Your private room has a sofa-bed 140cm wide, as well as TV, desk, and bathroom with shower.

YOUR HOME STAY FRENCH IMMERSION IN FLORENSAC
I want the best stay for you. Everything can be adapted, whether lessons, half-board or full board terms or tourist visits, depending on your particular interests. We will discuss your wishes together so your stay is unforgettable!

Our house is on a quiet road in the village of Florensac. The house has a garden, a swimming pool and a courtyard where we have barbecues. You will have your own comfortable room with double bed and private bathroom. We do not have pets and we are non-smokers.
We will have breakfast and dinner together. I cook traditional French and Italian dishes, simple but tasty.
During your homestay, we can go to the market in Florensac to buy fresh produce to cook together. For lunch, you can go to nearby restaurants which are just a few minutes’ walk from our house. On request, I can also offer full board to include lunch.
Hello, my name is Caroline. I am a French teacher with 15 years’ experience teaching French as a foreign language to adults and teenagers in Padua and Venice, Italy at the Alliance Française and the University. I returned to France in 2013 and decided to continue my passion for teaching French. I share our family home, where I live with my husband, a pharmacist in Pezenas, and our 8 year old son, to introduce students from abroad to a different kind of language course which includes immersion in French culture, family activities, tourist and gastronomy aspects as well.
LEARNING FRENCH
Drawing from 15 years’ teaching experience, I can provide tailor-made French lessons. My method is based principally on communication, through oral understanding and conversation, and on guided learning.
I can teach French at all levels, from complete beginner to advanced. The classes take place in the mornings in our bright, spacious kitchen, which is a shared space for my student(s) and me.
You will be one of two students at most. We will have a coffee break in the morning and will also have lunch together (on full-board terms). Afternoons will be free or spent with me as your guide for local tourist visits. In the evenings, we will dine as a family together with my husband and our 8 year old son and enjoy French or Italian dishes. This is the time to exchange views on the day, our passions, our tastes, our recipes, our trips, and on the garden, my husband’s passion!
ACTIVITIES
I will show you round Pezenas, with its narrow streets, its craft shops, Saint Jean church, the Jewish quarter, the mansion houses including Hotel des Barons de Lacoste, the Illustre Theatre, a beautiful little Italian-style theatre, the museum Bobby Lapointe and well-known vineyards such as the Priory of Bebian. We will have a drink on the central avenue with its shops and brasseries.
I will introduce you to Beziers, the starting point of the Canal du Midi, including its Paul Riquet Avenue, Saint Nazaire Cathedral, Madeleine Church and the bull rings where bullfighting takes place each August as part of the “La Feria” festival. The center of the old town, the Canal du Midi and the staircase of 9 locks at Foneranes, are listed as UNESCO heritage sites, and are the top tourist attractions in Beziers.
I will also take you to the pretty seaside town of Sete, the birthplace of Georges Brassens, with its picturesque narrow streets, its Venice-style canals, its port and its market halls, where you can taste delicious oysters freshly landed from the nearby Etang de Thau. From the top of Mont Saint Clair, you have a breathtaking view across the sea and the town. In Sete, attractions include the Paul-Valery museum and the Georges Brassens museum.
Other nearby tourist spots are also worth visiting, such as Marseillan, Agde and the beaches at Cap d’Agde. We will discuss the possibilities together, so our itinerary is arranged to suit your preferences.
