Improve your French during a Total Homestay French immersion in Morzine, international ski resort, ideal destination for active holiday (skiing, hiking, MTB, paragliding, water sports….) but also for relaxed holiday or cultural trip as it is close to several well known cities such as Geneva, Annecy or Evian. Stay and share the French lifestyle of Carol, your qualified teacher of French as a foreign language. She will deliver structured lessons for your level and specific needs.

Come on your own or with a friend and stay in her authentic ecofriendly chalet in a quiet area just 3km away from the pistes and shops. You will sleep in a comfortable private ensuite bedroom with a balcony offering a stuning view over the mountains. Carol and her partner Fred will be both your guides during your immersion stay to discover the mountains (skiing or walking), to visit the cities nearby (Geneva, Annecy, Evian….) and to show you the french lifestyle : good food and good wine !

YOUR HOME STAY FRENCH IMMERSION IN MORZINE

Morzine is an international ski resort but it is also an authentic mountain village with typical chalets. It is the perfect destination for active holidays or rejuvenating holidays in the nature.

But it is also a great starting point to visit several famous cities such as Geneva, Annecy or Evian. I will be more than happy to show you this unique environment made of nature and culture.

Hosting students is a real choice of life. My family and I love meeting new people, getting the impress to travel through their stories and share our lifestyle.

Our authentic ecofriendly chalet is 3 km away from Morzine, in the typical alpine village of Essert-Romand. The location is perfect to enjoy the lively resort but return to quiet each day to relax and focus on your studies. You will stay in a comfortable private ensuite bedroom (double bed + bathroom with shower & toilets) with a balcony giving you a stuning view over the mountains !

I will be your teacher but you will have many opportunities to practice your French with my partner Fred and my children Anna & Antoine. We also have a small sociable dog Nouki and 4 chickens (which means fresh eggs !!!!) We don’t smoke but you are allowed to smoke on our sunny terrace, in the garden or on your balcony.

We will share the meals. Fred is a chef so he will cook us delicious dinner and if you wish you can assist him and maybe get 2 or 3 good tips !

During your stay, we will go to the market and to the farms to buy local products.

LEARNING FRENCH

Qualified from the Alliance Française, I will be your personal dedicated French teacher. No classroom, no intimidating group, you will learn in a safe, supportive environment. The lessons are tailor-made for your level and specific needs. Together, we will set up a work plan based on your strengths and weaknesses but also on your personal objectives.

The lessons will be in the morning but depending on the weather and the activities, I am flexible and can change the schedule.

You will be 2 students maximum (if you come with a friend). I love teaching and I will do everything possible for you to make a maximum progress in a minimum time !

ACTIVITIES

Fred and I will be your guides to discover Morzine, a traditional mountain village, its ski resort, its summits with stunning views, its rich History…..Here we have very different seasons and weather but it is always fascinating.

In the winter, Morzine offers the possibility to ski in one of the widest European ski resort (650 km of pistes in a Swiss-French area) or to walk or snowshoe in the nature. In spring and summer, you can hike (all level) or try a mountain activity such as MTB, paragliding, climbing, water sports….But you can also opt for a rejuvenating stay and contemplate the nature or be part of a pilate, yoga or mediation session.

Morzine is also well located to visit many well-known cities. Geneva is only 60km away and it is a very cosmopolitan cities and headquarter of the UNO. Annecy called « The Venise of the Alps » is 80km away, its old city is very pleasant to walk all year round. It is also a good destination for some shopping ! Evian-les-Bains well-known for the water company is a very interesting city to discover on a guided tour. It was one of the most popular holiday destination in the 19th century for the thermalism and possesses several impressive buldings of this period.

You may like the sports, the nature or the culture, Morzine and its surroundings offer enough activities and visits to satisfy everyone ! There are so many things to do and to see that it won’t be possible to do it all in one stay so we will set up a program together according to your desire. We want this immersion stay to be an unforgettable experience !
