Learning French with ski in the Alps
Do you like winter sports? Did you know that you can improve your French while going to a ski holiday?
If you answered yes to both questions, let me tell you that it is possible by staying at Carol’s home! Read on to find out what activities you can do while you’re in the city.
You will be able to improve your French and discover the huge French-Swiss ski area of the Portes du Soleil (650km of slopes). Without a doubt one of the best places to practice this kind of sport.
But it’s not just about fun and games, you’re also there to learn French. In the mornings you will learn or revise your grammar with Carol at the chalet. Then in the afternoons you will conquer the slopes!
What’s interesting about coming here is that you can also do both at the same time. If you have already skied, Carol will accompany you and on each lift, you will have time to discuss or practice your lesson. If you need more lessons, she will arrange them with a French instructor.
However, if what you want is to discover the place in peace and quiet… You can also go on one or more snowshoeing trips together. It’s a perfect opportunity to chat in the calm and serenity of the snow-covered nature!
After a day outdoors, you can enjoy a nice mulled wine by the fire in the chalet or a concert in one of Morzine’s many après-ski bars! Doesn’t this plan just get better and better?
After a long day of learning and sport, you need to recharge your batteries. In the evening, Fred, Carol’s husband, a chef by trade, will prepare delicious traditional dishes for you: tartiflette, fondue, raclette, boeuf bourguignon….. You can even take part in their preparation and leave with the recipes!
In case you don’t have enough with all that we have offered, and if you are too tired after so many activities, don’t worry because you will have the best place to rest. You will stay in a comfortable room with its own private bathroom and balcony with a clear view of the mountains!
What more do you need? So don’t hesitate, combine business with pleasure by immersing yourself in Carol’s home 😉
