Amiens

The first city in France in terms of number of UNESCO heritage listings 🏛️, Amiens is famous for its Notre-Dame Cathedral 🕍.

The cathedral is Gothic in style, and one of the largest cathedrals in the world. The city of Amiens is nicknamed the “little Venice of the North” because of the many canals that run through it. It offers a rich heritage and picturesque neighborhoods. Since 1992, the label “Ville d’art et d’histoire” (City of Art and History) rewards the protection and the development of this heritage. And since 2020, it is considered as the European capital of youth.
