Laurence is an experienced teacher, with a multicultural profile and a background in literature, tourism and business. She will take at heart to guide your steps in developing your skills in French while closely adjusting the methods to your profile, needs and wishes.
No doubt you will be surprised by the results, the ease, and pleasure with which you have achieved them! The apartment is brand new and is ideally located within walking distance of all amenities, including numerous restaurants and nice boutiques, and just a minute from the cinema, tennis, swimming pool. Located at the rooftop, it has two large sunny terraces with an overlooking view to trees and city, where we can enjoy meals or a drink in an armchair at sunset.
The student(s) will be provided with an individual bedroom with access to the terrace, and a private bathroom. There is a lift… and a cat as a discreet companion.
YOUR HOME STAY FRENCH IMMERSION IN PROVENCE
Your stay is extremely flexible, depending on your tastes and expectations. Laurence will provide you with personalized French lessons adapted to your level of French and your goals. She will be happy to bring you to the market and demonstrate French recipes for no additional fee.
Immersion is the most fantastic way to combine progress in the language with daily practice. Never ending conversations on many themes related to whatever your interests may be. I am able to deliver intensive grammar or exercises, but tend to favor their integration within the context of language (the “communicative method”). With a prior definition of your needs, aims, and rhythm we’ll agree on the best suitable methods and establish a program on a weekly basis.
Your private bedroom is cozy and quiet, with direct access to the flowered terrace which you will surely enjoy! I have been a hospitality manager for the past seven years and used to cooking for my hosts. You will love tasting the various restaurants of Vaison, with a wide range of prices. But if you choose the full-board option, I shall be happy to cook for you, and also to tour together the markets and local producers, including the wine-testing cellars, and to deliver cooking classes, including my family recipes and specialties from Provence and other regions.

Bonjour my name is Laurence. I am a French native teacher. I have considerable experience in teaching French to foreigners both abroad and in France. I spent my childhood in the USA; later I lived in Russia. We moved back to France, and I have decided to open our home to share our love of Provence with our guests.
LEARN FRENCH LANGUAGE
I have been working for a long time as a trainer for adults and as a communication consultant. I am familiar with the business world and can teach business French as well as specialty French. I have also studied literature and I like to share our rich written, spoken and sung heritage, as well as cultural and historical aspects and social issues.
As a media specialist, I will propose to study from authentic documents and from the written and audio-visual press. As I am interested in language sciences, I am always careful to ensure that the learning methods and the organization of the courses are in line with the student’s profile and needs, which can be readjusted on demand during the course of the learning process.
ACTIVITIES
If you are independent and wish to practice sports or discover on your own, I’ll be happy to advice you and provide my best secret addresses. I am very fond of my region, which has no more secrets for me and will be very happy to share its treasures and guide your steps with explanations if needed.
There are many historical landmarks and exceptional landscapes around (Mont Ventoux, Dentelles de Montmirail, Baronnies) which can be combined with the most fantastic hiking trails, with breathtaking views. My favorite hobbies, which we can share, include hiking, painting, and sculpting.
On the cultural side, right in Vaison, there is an endless offer of movies, theater plays, concerts, conferences,museums, exhibits, and open air festivals in the summer. Items can be bought directly with the producers, not mentioning the huge market which is held in Vaison each Tuesday.
